How We Started
Iron + Branch Design/Build began with a shared belief that custom homes could be crafted differently—more thoughtfully, more transparently, and more personally. After years spent inside traditional construction models, we saw too many clients feeling overwhelmed, unheard, or forced to choose between design and quality.
We set out to change that. Iron + Branch was created to unite architecture, design, and building under one roof, with a simple promise: listen first, then build with care. What started as a small, hands-on practice focused on a few carefully chosen projects has grown into a dedicated team driven by the same core values—honesty, craftsmanship, and a genuine respect for the people who trust us with their homes.

Travis Dunkum
Founder, Iron + Branch Design / Build
Travis is a seasoned luxury custom home builder with 30+ years in residential construction and design-build leadership. He combines hands-on construction expertise with executive management to deliver architecturally sophisticated homes across Colorado’s Front Range. Beginning his trade in 1992, Travis has led projects of varied scale, including high-end custom residences, and is known for disciplined project management, quality craftsmanship, and straightforward client communication. In 2017 he founded Iron + Branch to create a more intentional, transparent building experience focused on collaboration and excellence. Guided by his faith and values—integrity, stewardship, and service—Travis emphasizes relationships with homeowners and trade partners as the foundation of every successful project, delivering homes that reflect thoughtful design and lasting quality.

Josh Dutton

Josh brings a rare blend of clinical rigor and design sensibility to luxury homebuilding. A former Emergency Room nurse with 15+ years of high-pressure clinical experience, he applies disciplined communication, decisive leadership, and meticulous attention to detail to every project. Josh oversees the full project lifecycle—from site acquisition through final finishes—ensuring timelines, budgets, and quality standards are met with consistency and care. His background across residential, commercial, and land development provides a comprehensive, 360-degree perspective that streamlines complex builds. Committed to a transparent, white-glove client experience, Josh treats each home as a meaningful life investment and prioritizes clear expectations, proactive problem-solving, and exceptional craftsmanship from concept through completion.
